Mah Jong is a fascinating
Chinese game to say the least. The 'click, click' sound
when playing with those little stone 'cards' can be
heard throughout the house, and by adhering to the few
traditional Chinese rules, like 'Twittering of
the Sparrows' to build 'The Great
Wall of China' in order to 'Keep The Devil
Out' you keep up a tradition reaching back to
BC. The announcing of the 'East Wind'
or 'Red Dragon' with the calling expressions
like 'Pung', 'Kong', 'Chow',
give the game the definite oriental touch. |

In the area of Pattaya in Thailand
we have several little circles of expat ladies who meet
regularly to enjoy an afternoon playing in groups of
three or four. Contacts can be made through the Pattaya
International Ladies Club or the Rayong Ladies Circle. |
