| Over the
years I have downloaded, installed and uninstalled many
computer programs. However, there are a few neat ones
I don't want to be missing. The listing doesn't include
the usual Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia
Dreamweaver or CoralDraw. I aim for the little supporting
programs either free or shareware. |

downloadable programs need to be unzipped. You need
to get Winzip first and install
it before you can install zip programs. |

Copernic
2000 - Net Search Engine
Copernic
has many advanced management and browsing features,
including keyword highlighting, the ability to verify
the links and delete dead search results, a history
of searches, easy sharing of search results via e-mail,
tight integration with Internet Explorer (Copernic pops
up when you type the search string into the IE URL field),
and more. Since I installed Copernic I have never ever
used any other search engine - not even AskJeeves.

ACDSee32 is an excellent, fast-loading
image viewer and browser. It lets you enhance pictures,
create HTML catalogs or webpages with your pictures,
send pictures via email, or even play and view multimedia
files like MP3, MPEG, AVI, and WAV.
SnagIt
- Capture the Screen.
An excellent screen, text, and
video capture utility. You can capture the screen, a
window, the last active window, a region of the screen
or even scroll down on a longer page. Images can be
saved as pictures or sent to the printer.

A simple calendar showing any
day, of any month for any year. Quick and simple.
FileSplit
FileSplit is a utility to split
large files into smaller files so that they can be easily
copied to floppy disks or ransferred via e-mail. Files
can be split directly from Windows Explorer by right
clicking on any file and selecting Split File.
Aha
Soft ArtIcons - Icon
Aha-soft ArtIcons allows you to
create, edit, view, extract and find icons and manage
icon libraries. With it you can create and edit icons
with image formats in standard and custom sizes, and
in color depths of up to 16 million colors. - The little
icon pictures on this page are converted from the program
icon to a .gif with ArtIcons.

eCleaner

Path
Copy - Windows Shell Extension
How often have you typed the long
path that leads to your file of interest? With Path
Copy you simply right click on the file and click 'Copy
Path' in your context menu.

1Disk is a database containing
all the file names of any removable disk (CD, floppy,
DVD, zip drives, etc) you decide to add all levels down.
No more big searches through your CD collection for
a certain song or a file you need to modify. It integrates
with your file manager showing the individual removal
disks while through the program itself you see all files
in one database.
Winzip - Zip and Unzip
Program
An unzip program is a must for
every computer user. Sooner or later you will come across
a zipped file (= packed file to make smaller in size
for transport). In order to use the file you need to
unzip it with a program like Winzip. Winzip integrates
with your right click menu making unzipping a piece
of cake.

An excellent replacement for
Windows Explorer file manager as it has all its features
and more. It zips and unzips, views numerous file types,
